Day minus 1 – What will your first trade be?

That is the question on everyone’s minds right? What will be that first trade?

Well you can help me there.
Who wouldn’t want a lovely Moringa Seed? (Maybe someone who is phobic of Moringa Trees but I haven’t found that person so I am to take it they don’t exist!)

Some facts about the Moringa Tree your seed will grow into:

Even the BBC like the Moringa Tree.

Sounds too good to be true? Well it is nangih The fact is we live in a country which will not be suitable to grow a Moringa Tree.

So you can’t grow a Moringa Tree from your seed, what else could you do with it?
You could.....

  • Use it as a Full stop

  • Attach it to a hula hoop and make a lovely ring

  • Flick it at your enemy

  • Wear it on your head to gain good posture (who needs books!)

  • Put it under your mattress to see if you are princess (I know it isn’t a pea but I’m sure it works just as well!)

  • Put it in a potato gun (shoot targets not people!)

Got any other ideas? Got any.... shock....horror.... better ideas?? Then trade with me! Just email me at judithsuperseed@live.co.uk or leave a comment with your trade idea and I will get back to you!sengihnampakgigi

Day Minus 1 – Why are you getting involved with the SuperSeed Challenge then?

Why, you say? Well here goes...
I am taking part in one heck of a competition. It’s called Your Big Year and it is an official event of GEW (Global Entrepreneurship Week for those not in the know).
So what is Your Big Year then? soal That’s a very good question!

If you can’t (or don’t have time as we already established!) get to the website, the basics are here (you gotta love basics!)

Your Big Year was created by some more funky people at Smaller Earth. (Clicky Clicky)
It’s all about getting people engaged in entrepreneurship and global citizenship. Those are some big goals right? Well there is a big incentive for the people taking part. The winner of Your Big Year will go on a trip to 5 continents doing volunteer projects and meeting world and community leaders.

You are engaged already aren’t you!

The 12 finalists get flown to Liverpool for the final where they take part in ‘Apprentice Style’ challenges.

Well I am through to stage two of YBY! Only 111 people have got to stage two and one of them is me.
Pretty cool huh? Want to know something even cooler? (Yes there is something even cooler, hard to think of such a thing I know!) I was a finalist last year!
Here are some pictures from my time in Liverpool for the final in 2010

Day Minus 1 – So what does the SuperSeed Challenge have to do with the Moringa Tree?

I know I know, my first post had very little info on the actual SuperSeed Challenge. Hang in there, I am getting to it!

Here is another Clicky Clicky for the SuperSeed Challenge site.

And again, if you don’t have time (can’t be bothered more like!) to go the site here are the basics. I could write my own basics but the funky SuperSeed people have done it so well I copied them! (There is a great diagram on the website so I’d recommend you go see it! sengihnampakgigi)

“The SuperSeed Challenge is a bartering bonanza, raising money for charity. It is an annual event running from the 1st January to 31st December each year. Participants can enter at anytime during the year, but have just 4 weeks from their start date to make their trades and a further week to auction off their newly acquired object for the highest price. there are chances to win amazing awards based on how much you raise and a super special once-a-year star prize for most raised in that calendar year... So, whether you're an individual, university or business, to take part in the challenge all you have to do is TRADE!”

Cool right? Well go to the next post to see why I’m doing the challenge (it is even cooler!)
(PS: I am only trading for two weeks. There is a reason! Read on!!) sengihnampakgigi
